President's Quarterly Greeting - January 2008
Monday - January 21, 2008

On behalf of the Board of Directors
of KAC-Chicago (KACC), I extend our warmest greetings
for the happiest of holidays and hope that your new year is off
to a great start!
For those of you who are getting to know us, we offer Korean
American young professionals in the metropolitan Chicagoland
area various opportunities to network, socialize, and serve
the local Korean American community. We are also a part of a
national network of chapters to empower, educate and organize.
Year 2008 marks the 5th year of operations for us here in Chicago.
Our major projects this year include:
- Analysis & publication of our 2007 Metropolitan Chicago Korean
American Community Survey
- 2008 Chicago Korean American Community Forum
- Voter education for the presidential elections
- KAC-National Spring Conference in Los Angeles, CA (April 2008)
- 10th Annual KAAN (Korean American Adoptee & Adoptive Family
Network) Conference in Chicago, IL (July 18-20, 2008)
- KAC-National Convention in Seattle, WA (Oct 2008)
- General membership & fundraising events (monthly basis)
Over the years I've been involved with KAC-Chicago, it has evolved into family for me - one which I could not imagine my life without. I hope you'll take a chance and join us at one of our events. Come see what we're about and what a difference it'll make in your Korean American experience.
Jane Lee-Kwon
