  • 3436 West Wilson Avenue Chicago, IL, 60625 United States (map)

On May 18, 2018, join KACC for the annual Korean Senior's Day event. We will serve over 600 participants and 500 of them will be seniors. Learn more about Hanul at www.hanulusa.org.

Volunteering duties include greeting the seniors, guiding the seniors in the right direction, and more. Free delicious Korean lunch & t-shirts will be provided! To volunteer, please email Charlene Choi at cchoi (at) hanulusa (dot) org.

All *new* volunteers must attend a pre-event training on either:
- May 11th from 2-4pm, 1166 S. Elmhurst Rd, Mount Prospect
- May 17th from 4-6pm, 3436 W. Wilson Ave. Chicago

Why volunteer? Our seniors face linguistic, cultural and economic barriers and often suffer from social isolation and depression in their everyday life away from their home country. Each year, the festival invites over 600 Korean seniors, their families and volunteers to the auditorium of Amundsen High School for a day of recognition and celebration. The highlight of the event is the art performances of local and international artists and our senior artists in our Cultural Art Program. The event is primarily sponsored by donations and contributions from local Korean business owners.
